This week's quote
"Dear friend, when a relationship feels like a game of tug of war, just know that it's ok to drop the rope." — Sincerely, Divorced
This week's book
Letting go is not a process that comes naturally to us and that's where "This Is Me Letting You Go" by Heidi Priebe comes in to teach us the art of moving on. This series of essays explores the harsh reality of what it means to let go of the people and situations we love most—often before we are ready to—and how to embrace what comes next. —Hillary
This week's reflection
Apparently, there can be a bright side to divorce. None of us head into marriage anticipating divorce — but for some of us, divorce becomes an opportunity to build something stronger with our ex-partner. Lately, my oldest daughter has been referring to her father as my "bestie" because she sees us interacting with compassion, support, and humor. Even his new wife is happy to see this. But if you would've asked me six months ago, I would have never guessed that we'd be in this place. I'm not sure how far I'll be able to go in exploring the bright side of divorce because it makes me wonder why this wasn't possible while we were married, but for now, I'll take it. —Bethany

This week's soundtrack
The Sincerely, Divorced playlist on Spotify is 🔥. Best part, it includes recommendations from community members now including a few we received this week: "Used to Love You" by Gwen Stefani and "I'm Still Standing" by Elton John. It's an eclectic mix, but we think that's an accurate reflection of the divorce experience. So many emotions and so many songs. We hope you'll comment with what you want to add to the list.
